‘Between Genius and Desire’ by Mel Brimfield.

Mel and I have collaborated together since 2009 on a few of her projects. They mostly revolve around sending up established movements or forms of art using mixed media and performers to create faux bodies of work. It’s a light-hearted look at those who can take themselves a little too seriously. Often with a comic twist Mel uses alternative models from comedians to male strippers. Catch her exhibition in London running until the 18th August. Working with her is a true joy.

All the photos were lit and shot by me. The Van Gogh and Pollock ones that make up the bulk of the work were shot at Create Studios (Brighton). The photos were mostly printed and mounted onto dibond at Colourstream (Brighton).
